Weird Old Dude Convention

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street had its premiere in New York last night, and it was totally hottie central!  SIKE.  I think Sweeney Todd himself was way better looking than the lot who turned out last night.  Even Johnny didn't look all that spectacular; his suit was kind of ill-fitting and he had these really gnarly looking brown shoes.  C'mon JD, you can do better than that!  Also they had one of the extras from the movie show up to the red carpet which was kinda fun, oh wait, no.  That's Keith f'n Richards.  Holy. Shit.  How is he not dead yet?!? Other old guys included the film's director, Tim Burton, who's hair very closely resembled the titular character, as well as Alan Rickman and Stephen Sondheim, the dude who created the original musical it's based on.  Oh yeah, and Claire Huxtable (Phylicia Rashad) showed up too.  No idea why.  Maybe she's looking for Theo cuz he cut curfew again...
Well, weird old dudes aside I think I'm actually pretty excited for this movie. The trailer looks really excellent;  finally a movie musical with some balls.
