BREAKING NEWS: NICK HOGAN SENTENCED TO 8 MONTHS IN JAIL

Nick Bollea aka Nick Hogan has been sentenced to eight months in a Florida county jail plus probation after pleading no contest to charges of felony reckless driving, stemming from the Aug. 6, 2007 car crash that left his best friend, John Graziano, in critical condition.
Because Nick (seen here visiting Graziano in the hospital) was 17 at the time of the accident he will not have a felony conviction on his record once he turns 18 later this summer.  He will serve five years of probation which will consist of 500 hours of community service; in addition he will not be allowed to drink any alcohol and his driver's license will be revoked for 3 years.  The judge urged Nick to use his community service to do something positive "that reflects what John did in his service to our country as a Marine."

At the time of the crash, it was said that Nick and his friend were drag racing upwards of 100 mph and his car was left wrapped round a tree after impact.  Graziano, who was in the passengers seat, was not wearing his seat belt and court report filed in September said that he would likely spend the remainder of his life in a nursing home.
