The annual BET Hip Hop awards were held in Atlanta last night and who better to host them than ATL hometown hero T.I..  The rapper, who is on probation for gun charges, made good last night as a last-minute host.  Hip Hop heavies such as Pharrell Williams, Salt n Peppa, Ciara, Bow Wow, Common and Ice Cube all walked the red carpet.  On stage, Lil Wayne walked away with three awards and LL Cool J presented Russell Simmons with the I Am Hip Hop Award, for being a hip hop idol and an inspiration to other artists.  The ceremony will be broadcast on Thursday on BET at 8 p.m.
