Believe it, or believe it not, reality TV dad Jon Gosselin says he's genuinely ''sorry'' for the very public relationships he's had wit a number of women, despite the fact his marriage to wife Kate is not yet officially over.

Jon - who claims he hates being hounded by the press and detests all the media attention - went on stage in NYC last night to bare his soul in a ''confessional.''

And he did it with publicity-seeking Rabbi Shmuley Boteach at his side.

Honestly, Jon needs to decide if he wants to be in the public eye or not.

If he doesn't, last night's performance at the West Side Jewish Center was a huge publicity boo boo.

Jon needs to concentrate on caring for his kids and forget about the next photo op if he is being honest with everyone.
