Not even 24 hours after it emerged A-Rod and his lover, actress Kate Hudson, were no longer an item, the baseball star was right back on his game, chatting up the ladies in Miami.

Yes we caught up with A Rod chowing down at is favorite diner.

And on the menu, the lovely ladies, of course.

Alex wasted no time trying to get to know a bunch of women sat near him at the eaterie.

But one diner said it was funny how the slugger's one-liners fell on deaf ears...and A Rod left all alone after finishing his favorite grilled chicken lunch.

Never mind, plenty more fish in the sea on South Beach Alex.
