Reese Witherspoon has been very busy lately filming her latest movie on the East Coast.

But this morning she was back home in California, pounding the streets with a friend as they enjoyed a run out in the sunshine.

Charming Reese laughed and joked with photographers as she took a jog around Brentwood.

And the paps were no match for the super-fit actress and her pal as they were left for dead in the dust as the ladies ran off into the distance.

Being one of Hollywood's leading ladies isn't all about red carpet events and promoting your latest cosmetics line...just ask Reese Witherspoon.

We spotted Reese running her little heart out on the set of her new movie, How Do You Know, in Washington DC today.

Reese stars in the movie alongside Owen Wilson but he was nowhere to be seen this morning as Reese was put through her paces, take after take.

Did Maggie Gyllenhaal's dream wedding in Italy to Peter Sarsgaard last week set Reese Witherspoon's heart racing? We think so! It's only a matter of time before she and Jake Gyllenhaal tie the knot - and boy, are the kids from that union gonna be cuuuuuute! The couple went for lunch together yesterday at a Brentwood eaterie, but exited separately.

Last night was obviously "date night" in the world of celebs (funny, I thought it was "stay in and watch American Idol night").

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon decided to enjoy themselves last night as well, dining at Il Ristorante di Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica.  But Gyllenspoon's dinner date was extra special cuz it was a double dinner date- Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin were there!  The celeb dub date is like seeing aurora borealis!

Jake and Reese looked happy to be driving away together and Reese looks stunning in her royal blue frock.  C'mon Jake, put a ring on it!

      

Reese Witherspoon looked like a total BABE the Los Angeles premiere of Monsters Vs. Aliens on Sunday afternoon.  The actress rocked a silver, green a blue dress that was fitting for the animated movie.

Reese was joined by Kiefer Sutherland who also lent his voice to the film as well as Angie Harmon and her daughters and Amy Poehler and Will Arnett.

Monsters Vs. Aliens hits theaters on March, 27.

      

Has it finally happened?!  Are Reese and Jake going to tie the knot?!  Star magazine is reporting that Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are engaged and are on the fast track to getting married. 

Reese was supposedly hiding her very large diamond engagement ring during a two-day commercial shoot for Avon.  "It was gorgeous, and everyone noticed it right away," says one eyewitness. "But she took it off as soon as she saw people staring. Reese stuffed it in her bag and didn't put it on again the rest of the day."

The diamond ring was all anyone could talk about during the shoot, the source adds, "There was already word out that she and Jake had gotten engaged, so the ring absolutely confirmed everybody's suspicions."

It's assumed that Reese and Jake will get married sooner rather than later in a simple ceremony. One insider reveals Reese is even thinking about having a Southern barbecue — likely at their Ojai, Calif., home, which she and Jake often use as a romantic getaway. "Jake and Reese want to get married sooner rather than later," says the insider. "They've been playing house for far too long, and they're ready to make it official!"

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are spreadin' their love alllll over Europe!  The pair was spotted in Paris this weekend enjoying the many cafes and shopping the City of Lights has to offer. Reese has been all over Europe to promote her new animated feautre Monsters vs. Aliens. 

     

Avon Global Ambassador Reese Witherspoon unveiled a new necklace in Washington D.C. this afternoon in support of women's empowerment.

The actress has again teamed up with Avon to raise money and awareness for the Avon Foundation which supports organizations and programs that provide women with economic opportunity. These include programs that offer women the ability to acquire the skills and support they need to become economically secure.

Nice to see someone doing a bit of good every once and a while!

   

Reese Witherspoon's disposition is about as sunny as the SoCal weather.  We spotted the actress shopping at the Brentwood Country Market in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon.  Reese looked casual but cute in her workout gear and sunglasses.

Reese took home a People's Choice Awards this week for Favorite Female Movie Star, congrats girl!

    

Reese Witherspoon stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman last night.  The actress looked lovely, and a little bit like a First Lady, as she was there to discuss her new holiday movie Four Christmases. 

There's been a lot of talk as to whether Reese and her main squeeze Jake Gyllenhaal are going to tie the knot.  Reese spoke out saying she was hesitant to get married again, "Family is all we have in life, but I don't know how I feel about marriage...Obviously, I'm not far enough out of being married to think about doing it again. You sort of reconstitute your family. You find a family with people who come into your life for a reason."
